LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT & CEO
As Effie celebrates 50 years of recognizing marketing
effectiveness globally, I’ve spent the past year combing
through our database and reflecting on the milestones
and evolution that our industry has achieved.
In an era of partnerships, flexibility and change, it is essential
that we continue to learn and adapt to the trends and
technologies that will keep our industry relevant and create
growth opportunities for the future. I have also sought your
input and listened to your feedback on how we can work
in partnership with you to accelerate that growth.
As Effie’s educational remit continues to expand, I look
forward to working with you as part of the global Effie
network to define standards for effectiveness, develop
the next generation of leadership and provide access to
learning at every level of a marketer’s career. Whether it
be via Effie Collegiate, the Effie Academy, Effie judging or
events like this year’s inaugural Summit, I encourage you
to use Effie as a resource. Effie is a forum for the marketing
community and exists to celebrate ideas that work and
provide continued learning and inspiration to deliver
growth no matter what business you are in.

I would also like to thank my team that spans the U.S., U.K.
and Greater China, as well as all of our Effie partners that
now run 53 programs across the globe for your commitment
to our mission and for all of the work you do to make Effie
a success. I look forward to what we will achieve together
in the year ahead.

given to me, to our staff and to the global Effie network.
Your vision and support makes our ambitious goals possible.
To that end, I would like to give a very sincere thank you
to Daryl Lee, who has served as Effie Worldwide’s Board
Chair for the past two years, and as Board Director since
2011. Daryl, your tenacity and belief in the power of the
Effie brand and its potential has enhanced the Effie Awards
program and made way for incredible programs like the
Effie Academy. Your chairmanship has shifted the course of
the Effie organization and we thank you for all you’ve done
and continue to do for our organization and our industry.
Congratulations, again, to all of this year’s winners on this
worthy recognition that you have not only won, but earned.
