thinkers celebrated creative effectiveness at the inaugural 2008 World Effie Festival in Singapore Feb. 28-29.
More than 1,300 individuals participated in the festival
that included three simultaneous sessions—provocative
Thought Catalyst presentations, Premier Master Classes
and Effie Winners Showcases, featuring 25 Gold Effie
winners from around the world. The festival concluded

with a talk on “Ideas with a Conscience.”

Launched in 2008, the Asia-Pacific Effies honored 15 of
the most effective national marketing communications
campaigns in countries in the Asia-Pacific region, while
the Global Effies celebrated its fifth anniversary honoring three intercontinental campaigns that successfully
ran in four or more countries. Effie Worldwide anticipates
that this festival will become an annual event, and we
